Sunderland winger Adam Johnson has revealed that he is determined to score more goals this season than in the last campaign.
The 27-year-old netted 10 times last term, but he already has five goals to his name since August.
His last strike came on New Year's Day during the Black Cats' narrow 3-2 defeat against champions Manchester City.
"I'm halfway there to getting 10 goals and even more if I can, but 10 is my target and in the recent four or five weeks I've been relatively happy with my performances," he told the club's official website.
"Now I'm just looking for that to continue and have a positive influence at the top of of the pitch to score some more goals."
Sunderland are back in action on Saturday when they host Liverpool in the Premier League.
