That's it for today's edition of
transfer talk from
Sports Mole Be sure to tune in again tomorrow for full coverage of all the gossip and done deals from across the world. Until then...
How's this to finish our
transfer talk for tonight. Manchester City want to sign out-of-contract striker Didier Drogba, who is believed to be close to rejoining Chelsea as a player-coach, having left Galatasaray earlier this summer. Citizens boss Manuel Pellegrini is considering offering Drogba a
lucrative one-year contract as a short-term boost to his strike force.
Elsewhere among the Premier League's elite, Tottenham are seemingly closing in on the signings of Ben Davies and Michel Vorm from Swansea City, and could Antoine Griezmann follow them to White Hart Lane? A report claims that Spurs are
prepared to meet the Real Sociedad's £25m buy-out clause to beat off competition for his signature from Chelsea and Monaco.
Liverpool have also been linked with a move for Balotelli, but two players not believed to be in Brendan Rodgers' transfer plans are PSG striker Edinson Cavani and Real Madrid playmaker Isco, both of whom could be available this summer once their clubs have recruited replacements.
Another ex-Premier League star, and one that blessed us with many memorable moments, who has been touted with a return to England is Mario Balotelli. However, Arsenal have reportedly
been put off in their attempts to sign the AC Milan striker by his £5m-a-year wage demands.
Newly-promoted Leicester are starting to make some significant moves in the transfer market and they are seemingly in the chase for a blast from the Premier League past. Former Chelsea winger Florent Malouda, 34, is said to be
considering an offer to return to England with the Foxes.
From one guy who expected to leave his club to another who hopes never to, and young Barcelona midfielder Sergi Roberto has insisted that he wants to
spend his whole career at the Camp Nou despite him apparently stalling on contracts talks. The 22-year-old has one year left on his current deal and has been linked with Tottenham Hotspur, Arsenal and Manchester United.
Evening, all. A line from closer to home to bring you now, from Championship outfit Wolves. Defender Richard Stearman has admitted that he
expected to leave Molineux last summer but is now delighted to have signed a new two-year contract with the West Midlands outfit.
Well that's all from me this evening, but stick around as Joe Fish will keep you up to date with all the latest developments for the next three hours!
Sticking with the Spanish champions, Tiago Mendes has been linked with a move in the opposite direction. The midfielder had been a free agent after coming to the end of his contract with the La Liga side, and was expected to rejoin the Stamford Bridge side, but Atletico have announced this evening that he has signed a new
two-year deal.
If you've been following Transfer Talk throughout the day, you'll probably already know that Chelsea striker Fernando Torres is believed to be in talks with former club Atletico Madrid. However, any return to the club is said to have hit a stumbling block, with the 30-year-old reportedly unwilling to
take a pay cut to move to the La Liga champions.
Porto striker Jackson Martinez has been attracting interest from several Premier League sides this summer, with Arsenal and Chelsea apparently leading the race to sign the Colombia international. It looks like any move could be progressing, as the 25-year-old has requested an
extended break before returning to the Portuguese side for pre-season training.
Paris Saint-Germain has continually been linked with a move away from the French champions, with Manchester United and Liverpool among those thought to be interested in the Uruguay striker. Despite the talk, Cavani claims that he is
"relaxed" over the situation.

Brighton & Hove Albion winger Jeffrey Monakana has
joined Aberdeen on loan until January. The 20-year-old has spent the past six months at Brighton following a move from Preston North End at the start of the year.
Chelsea captain John Terry has expressed his desire to
earn a new contract with the club. The centre-back recently agreed a 12-month extension to stay at Stamford Bridge, but he is hopeful that it will not be the last deal that he signs.
Jack Deaman has
signed a one-year contract with League Two side Cheltenham Town. The 21-year-old defender was a free agent following his release by Birmingham City.
Atletico Madrid midfielder Raul Garcia has insisted that Fernando Torres would be
"welcome" back at the club. Los Rojiblancos are among the clubs that have been credited with an interest in the striker and Garcia believes that he would be a useful addition.
There's been plenty of reaction to the news that Patrice Evra has left Manchester United for Juventus. You can see what Phil Neville's had to say on the Frenchman's move
here.
From the heady heights of Manchester United to Huddersfield Town. Striker Danny Ward has revealed that he is
eager to earn a new contract with the club. The 23-year-old is entering the final 12 months of his current deal with the Championship side after they took up the option of an extension.
And on that note, I am done for today. Jack Prescott will be returning now to guide you through the next few hours. Enjoy...
But there could be some positive news coming out of United soon because reports have claimed that executive vice-chairman Ed Woodward has left the club's pre-season tour of the USA. Is a deal about to be concluded? Vidal? Hummels? Who knows! Hopefully we will find out soon.
Firstly, the club has confirmed that Patrice Evra has
departed for Juventus. The left-back spent eight successful years at Old Trafford, but having signed teenager Luke Shaw, he has been granted permission to move to Turin, where he has signed a two-year contract.

Two big updates coming for supporters of Manchester United...
BREAKING NEWS! It's not a transfer, but it's still big news coming out of England and Liverpool. Steven Gerrard has retired from international football. The story is developing
here.
How are West Ham fans feeling about the summer so far? They've signed four players already and providing that he is granted a work permit, Enner Valencia will be the fifth. There could soon be a sixth as well, with one report claiming that Ukrainian winger Yevhen Konoplyanka would
consider a switch to Upton Park. The 24-year-old almost signed for Liverpool in January.

While we wait for some rumours and done deals to filter through,
here is all the transfer speculation concerning each of the 20 Premier League teams from the past seven days.
Thanks Jack and afternoon all. So, what are the chances of more business being concluded today? Let's hope we have some news to bring you over the course of the next few hours.
That's all from me for now, but I'll be back at around 4pm to keep you up to date with the latest transfer news and gossip. Until then, Liam Apicella will be taking over the helm and guiding you through all that's happening in the transfer world.
Liverpool have confirmed that
Iago Aspas has joined Sevilla on a season-long loan deal. The two clubs had been in talks over a temporary move before the switch was finalised on Monday afternoon. Probably not the worst news that Liverpool fans have had this summer.
Tottenham Hotspur are understood to have
held talks with Swansea City goalkeeper Michel Vorm over a summer move. The two clubs are thought to have recently agreed a £5m fee for the 30-year-old Netherlands international.

on the verge of signing a long-term contract extension with the club. The Scotland international, 29, is entering the final year of his current deal at Portman Road.
Lyon chairman Jean-Michel Aulas has insisted that the club will
not be selling Alexandre Lacazette this summer. The striker, 23, has been linked with both Liverpool and Newcastle United in recent weeks.

Thanking you, Liam. A bit of League Two news for you now with former Wigan Athletic defender Adam Buxton joining Accrington Stanley
on a one-year deal. The 22-year-old arrives at the Crown Ground as a free agent following his release by Wigan at the end of last season.
And that is as far as I take you for now. I'll be returning a bit later, but for now, I'll hand you over to Jack Prescott. Over to you, Jack...
If at first you don't succeed...Having failed with two bids for Craig Dawson, it would seem that Burnley are
preparing a third offer for the West Bromwich Albion defender. It's believed that Baggies boss Alan Irvine is determined to keep hold of the 24-year-old.
Here's one for Stoke fans - Mark Hughes has already added three players to his squad at the Britannia Stadium, but here are a
further three that
Sports Mole believes would prove to be useful additions for the Potters.
Could Manchester City be in the market for a new centre-forward? They might have to be following confirmation from Alvaro Negredo that he has
broken his metatarsal.
One former Liverpool striker that could be heading out of the Premier League, though, is Fernando Torres. It's not worked out for the £50m man at Chelsea and following the arrival of Diego Costa from Atletico Madrid, a report has suggested that Torres could be
moving in the opposite direction. Of course, Atletico is where the Spanish international started his career, so a return home could reinvigorate the 30-year-old.
Some potentially big news for Liverpool fans is starting to filter through. It would appear that Brendan Rodgers is
close to signing two new players in the form Southampton defender Dejan Lovren and Lille striker Divock Origi. Further reports have also claimed that Loic Remy will shortly be confirmed as a Liverpool player.
DONE DEAL! Championship side Charlton Athletic have
confirmed the arrival of goalkeeper Stephen Henderson. The 26-year-old had been available on a free transfer for a short period of time following his release by West Ham United. He will now compete for number one jersey at The Valley with youngster Nick Pope.
It would seem that new Queens Park Rangers signing Rio Ferdinand is not enjoying the drive into training!
