David Moyes disappointed with Valencia defeat

Real Sociedad boss David Moyes admits that his side did not deserve anything from their 2-0 defeat at Valencia on Sunday.

Real Sociedad boss David Moyes has revealed his disappointment following his side's 2-0 defeat at Valencia on Sunday.

The Basque outfit entered the match off the back of an impressive 4-3 win over Sevilla, but a quickfire second-half double from Pablo Piatti ensured that Los Che claimed all the points at the Mestalla.

"It's true I expected more after we beat Sevilla last week and despite having a few injuries we did not play well. However, we must carry on with the players we have, first of all to ensure safety in La Liga and also to try and get ourselves as far up the table as possible," Moyes told reporters.

"But I was disappointed with our showing at Mestalla and we gave away two cheap goals. We need to improve a lot against teams of this calibre because they are a side with high expectations who are looking to challenge Real Madrid and Barcelona."

Sociedad currently sit 12th in La Liga, just five points clear of the relegation zone.
