Wellington Phoenix, Western Sydney Warriors ends goalless

Wellington Phoenix and Western Sydney Wanderers play out a goalless draw at Westpac Stadium.

Western Sydney Warriors have been held to a goalless draw in their A-League encounter at Wellington Phoenix.

The result means that Tony Popovic's side are three points behind leaders Brisbane Roar, while the Nix are down in ninth, two ahead of Melbourne Heart and four off Adelaide United.

Ante Covic was kept busy in the visitors' goal, making five saves - the best coming from Tyler Boyd and Paul Ifill efforts in the second half.

Meanwhile, Aaron Mooy and Mark Bridge wasted the best opportunities for the Wanderers.
