West Ham United have confirmed that Andy Carroll will not play again for a month after receiving results from a scan on his hamstring.
The 27-year-old suffered the injury just 12 minutes into his side's 3-1 victory over Bournemouth at the Vitality Stadium on Tuesday night.
There were fears that the striker, who has been plagued by injuries for the majority of the season, would be on the treatment table for between four and six weeks.
Now it has been confirmed via the Hammers' official website that Carroll will be out for one month.
The striker will miss league games against Newcastle United, Manchester City, Aston Villa and Southampton.
