Wigan Athletic forward Franco Di Santo has been called into the Argentina squad for next month's friendly against Saudi Arabia.

The uncapped 23-year-old is one of four English-based players, along with Pablo Zabaleta, Sergio Aguero and Fabricio Coloccini, to be selected for the match in Riyadh on November 14.

"This is unbelievable. For any player in the world playing with [Lionel] Messi is the best," said Di Santo.

"I will have a smile in my face for several days. This is something I have always dreamed of, and now it's true."

Di Santo has scored three goals in eight Premier League matches this season.
