Wigan Athletic manager Roberto Martinez has claimed that bad luck has contributed to his side's poor start to the season.
The Latics go into Saturday's Premier League encounter with Everton having lost four of their opening six matches of the campaign.
"We have been very unfortunate with certain moments that have affected our results," Martinez told reporters.
"That has given us a bit of a negative feeling; when you play well and don't get a positive result you get a bit of a feeling of frustration and disappointment.
"Especially at home, we need to change our results and make sure we can be strong opposition for any team that comes to the DW Stadium."
Martinez's side are currently 16th in the Premier League table.
