England head coach Stuart Lancaster has told his side that it is time for them to start producing positive results on a regular basis.

There was a lot of uncertainty surrounding the national team between the sacking of Martin Johnson in 2010 and Lancaster being handed the job on a permanent basis in 2011.

However, having now had time to settle in, Lancaster believes that the honeymoon period is now over.

"We've had a bit of instability. We settled down during the Six Nations, I finally got the job and then we went to South Africa and, at the end of a long, hard season, I think we competed well," said the boss.

"Coming back to the Loughborough camp, whilst it was only four weeks after the end of the tour, we were in good shape, good spirits, the players were cohesive in terms of a game plan and now it's time to kick on."

Lancaster is contracted to the RFU until the conclusion of the 2015 World Cup.
