England and London Irish winger Marland Yarde will be out of action for up to 14 weeks following the injury he suffered in the defeat to Leicester Tigers last weekend.
The timing of the injury could see Yarde miss England's Six Nations campaign, with the first game against France just over two months away.
Yarde suffered a ruptured tendon and will now have to undergo surgery, with the best prognosis being 12 weeks out of action.
The winger has made two appearances for England this year.
