All Blacks winger Cory Jane has revealed that he is suffering Twitter withdrawal symptoms ahead of the Rugby World Cup.
The New Zealand squad has been banned from using social media to communicate during the tournament, and Jane has revealed that he is finding it difficult to go cold turkey.
"I'm battling. I'm checking it like every 10 minutes just to see what people are writing and what's going on. It's starting to hurt but rules are rules," he said.
"The worst thing about it is when somebody writes something you just want to answer and let them know."
Jane, who has over 20,000 followers, has insisted that he will not be using a pseudonym to circumvent the rules.
"I haven’t got Jane Cory up there yet. I’m not going to do that," he said. "I don’t want to get kicked out, first of all."
New Zealand kick off their World Cup campaign against Tonga on Friday, September 9.
