David Ferrer beats Adrian Mannarino by three-sets-to-one at the Australian Open.

David Ferrer has beaten Adrian Mannarino by three-sets-to-one at the Australian Open.

The Spaniard was given a tough test by the Frenchman, but the world number three eventually saw off the threat by winning a tie break in the first before taking the third and fourth after losing the second 7-5.

Ferrer made his superior fitness count in the final two sets and didn't drop a game in the third en route to a 6-3 victory in the final set.

The win moves the 31-year-old into the third round of the tournament.
