Andy Murray has sealed a place in the Shenzhen Open semi-finals after beating Lukas Lacko 6-3 7-5 in China.
The Scotsman, who is trying to qualify for November's ATP World Tour Finals in London, started strongly on the hard court by breaking Lacko's serve at the first time of asking.
The 26-year-old Slovak came close to breaking back in the seventh game, but Murray saved three break points and eventually went on to take a one-set lead.
Both players had break-point opportunities in the second set, but games went by way of serve until Murray found the breakthrough in the 11th game.
The one break was all that was needed for the 2013 Wimbledon champion to win the set and book his place into the semi-finals.
