Arsenal defender Nacho Monreal wants "perfect game" at Crystal Palace

Nacho Monreal calls on Arsenal to atone for their shock West Ham defeat by producing the "perfect game" at Crystal Palace.

Nacho Monreal has claimed that Arsenal's shock opening-day defeat to West Ham United has increased the need for a "perfect game" at Crystal Palace on Sunday.

The Gunners slumped to a surprise 2-0 defeat at the Emirates last week as the North Londoners' 2015-16 Premier League campaign started on a bum note.

In contrast, Palace enjoyed a 3-1 win at Norwich City, and Monreal warns that a flawless performance is needed at Selhurst Park.

"We have played many times against them away from home and we have won each time but we know they are a difficult team," the left-back told the club's official website.

"They have really good players who are physically hard. We know it will be a difficult game but after losing our first match, we must win.

"We have to play like we know how. If every player gives 100 per cent then I think we will have many options to win the game. Obviously we have to make a perfect game from the first minute to the last and if we do that, I think we will win."

Arsene Wenger's side did the double over their London rivals last season.
