Arsenal are interested in signing Brighton & Hove Albion defender Tariq Lamptey during this summer's transfer window, according to Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano.
The 20-year-old has missed a chunk of the 2020-21 campaign with a hamstring injury but started the season in impressive fashion, providing one goal and three assists in 11 Premier League appearances.
The former Chelsea youngster has a contract at the Amex Stadium until June 2025, but according to Romano, Arsenal are considering the England Under-21s international as an option at right-back, with Hector Bellerin potentially leaving the club in the upcoming market.
"For sure, next summer, can happen something big for him. Arsenal are looking at him as possible option at right-back. Keep an eye on Arsenal because they are among the clubs interested in Lamptey," Romano said on his Here We Go Podcast.
"There is still nothing advanced, there is still nothing signed. Nothing serious yet, but they're looking at him, he's on the list, he's considered an interesting player, so Arsenal will decide the future in the coming months."
Lamptey could be involved in Brighton's next Premier League game against Leicester City on March 6.
