Tim Sherwood: 'I won't rest players against Burnley'

Aston Villa boss Tim Sherwood insists that he intends to put out a strong side against Burnley.

Aston Villa boss Tim Sherwood has insisted that he will not rest players for the team's final Premier League match of the season against Burnley.

The Villans host the Clarets on Sunday before facing Arsenal in the FA Cup final at Wembley Stadium next weekend.

Despite such a big game on the horizon, Sherwood is eager to put out a strong side and give the fans something to cheer about tomorrow afternoon.

"We want to go and win," he is quoted as saying by Sky Sports News. "We owe it to our fans, who have stuck with us under difficult circumstances and been fantastic and helped pull us over the line.

"So we owe it to them to go and put in a performance on Sunday, send them home happy and give them some optimism to want to come back here next season. It's a full house, we want to put in a good performance but there'll be no resting of players. We're looking to go out with a win."

Villa are currently in 16th place in the Premier League table, four points clear of the relegation zone.
