Lionel Messi has said that he owes "everything" to the youth academy at Barcelona.
The Argentine moved to the Barcelona academy from Newell's Old Boys in 2000 before eventually making his first-team debut for the Spanish champions in 2004.
"Barcelona have given me everything. I was developed with the values of La Masia and I am what I am, thanks to these values in the youth system here," he told the club's official television channel.
In total, Messi has scored 340 goals in 410 appearances for the Catalan outfit.
The 26-year-old has also won six league titles and three Champions Leagues in Spain.
