Barcelona are reportedly preparing to offer new contracts to Lionel Messi and Marc-Andre ter Stegen.
The forward and goalkeeper are both regarded as key players at Camp Nou, with Messi officially tied to the Catalan giants until 2021 and Ter Stegen holding a deal for a further year.
While there is little danger of either player leaving the club in the near future, reports in Spain suggest that Barcelona are ready to strengthen their position.
The Catalan giants are said to be ready to instigate discussions with both players in the coming months.
The decision comes at a time when the La Liga champions are also attempting to comply with FFP regulations, which will likely lead to a number of sales during the next two transfer windows.
