Porto recorded a potentially crucial 3-1 victory over Bayern Munich in the first leg of their Champions League quarter-final tie at the Estadio do Dragao this evening.
Ricardo Quaresma followed a penalty with a second goal inside 10 minutes as Porto stunned the visitors with an impressive start before Thiago Alcantara reduced the deficit later in the first half.
A fine performance from the hosts was rewarded when Jackson Martinez restored the two-goal advantage after the break to hand Porto control at the halfway stage in the tie.

Fabiano: The goalkeeper took the pressure off his defence with his bravery coming for crosses, but a poor night for Bayern ensured that he wasn't too busy. (6/10)

Danilo: The Real Madrid-bound full-back was always willing to offer his side an option in attack, but he stuck to his defensive task well to force Muller and Gotze to cut inside. (6/10)
Bruno Martins Indi: A superb performance from the Dutch international. Marked Lewandowski tightly to prevent Bayern from finding the striker on a regular basis and led the defence impressively all night. (8/10)
Maicon: The perfect partner for Martins Indi. While his defensive partner paid close attention to Lewandowski, Maicon was willing to step out from the back to cut off the supply and his confidence halted a lot of Bayern attacks. (7/10)
Alex Sandro: Prevented from getting forward as much as he would have liked, but a solid defensive performance prevented the likes of Gotze, Muller and Rafinha from making an impact on his side of the pitch. (6/10)
Midfield
Hector Herrera: Excellent at both ends of the pitch. The Mexican's passing started a lot of Porto attacks, but it was his eagerness to press which will please his manager most. (7/10)
Casemiro: Given the responsibility to protect the defence and the Brazilian relished the challenge. Dropped deep to make life difficult for Bayern's forwards, but showed a willingness to push further up the pitch to confront Lahm and Alonso. (8/10)
Oliver Torres: Prevented from pulling the strings in midfield as Porto moved the ball forward quickly, but his work-rate was impressive before leaving the field with 15 minutes remaining. (6/10)
Yacine Brahimi: Kept on the fringes of most of Porto's attacks, but his discipline on the left was crucial as he provided a shield for Sandro and tucked inside when Bayern dominated possession. (6/10)
Ricardo Quaresma: Displayed his composure by slotting home the early penalty before helping himself to a second goal with a fine finish. His skill and confidence were a constant threat to the visiting defence. (7/10)
Attack
Jackson Martinez: The Colombian's reputation was enhanced once again with a fine performance. Battled for long balls impressively and held the ball up well before completing the win with an excellent goal. (8/10)

Ruben Neves: Given 15 minutes to impress and the 18-year-old's energy in midfield was crucial in the closing stages. (6/10)

Manuel Neuer: It was a tough night for one of the world's best goalkeepers. Jumped into a challenge on Martinez to gift Porto an early penalty and he looked far from convincing dealing with crosses. (5/10)
Defence
Rafinha: Produced a battling performance which some of his fellow defenders could learn from, but his final delivery was poor when he had the opportunity to get forward on the wing. (6/10)
Jerome Boateng: A miserable night for the World Cup winner. Played a key role in the Bayern goal, but his defensive positioning was poor throughout the match and his mistake to gift Martinez a goal could be vital. (4/10)
Dante: Bayern were not helped by two poor displays from their central defenders, and Dante had a night to forget as his mistake led to Quaresma's second goal. Looked nervy on the ball as Porto's pressing exposed his weaknesses. (5/10)
Juan Bernat: A below-par performance from the full-back as he struggled to cope with the trickery of Quaresma and failed to offer his side a useful attacking outlet. (5/10)
Midfield
Xabi Alonso: A rare disappointing night for the Spaniard. Robbed of the ball in just the second minute as Martinez broke through to win a penalty and he never recovered in truth. Neat and tidy for long spells, but he always looked uncomfortable when Porto pressed. (5/10)
Philipp Lahm: It was clear that Porto's gameplan was designed to negate the threat of Alonso and Lahm. Bayern's skipper made very few mistakes, but the pressure in midfield made it tough for him to control the tempo. (6/10)
Thiago Alcantara Scored with an impressive finish from close range, but kept on the fringes of the game for long spells as Casemiro's tight marking had its desired impact. (6/10)

Mario Gotze: Without Arjen Robben and Franck Ribery, Bayern needed Gotze to deliver the goods but he struggled to get involved in the game on a regular basis before being replaced early in the second half. (5/10)
Thomas Muller: Offered a different threat to his attacking teammates with a direct approach, but Porto restricted the room on offer and he struggled to get on the ball further up the pitch. (6/10)
Robert Lewandowski: The victim of a defensive masterclass from Martins Indi and Maicon. Forced to feed off scraps for long spells and a lack of pace to Bayern's attacks did not suit him. (5/10)
