Birmingham City manager Gary Rowett has confirmed that Dutch defender Kees Luijckx is training with the club's first-team squad.
The 28-year-old, who used to play for NAC Breda and Roda JC, is a free agent after leaving Greek Super League side Niki Volos in December.
Rowett told the official Blues website: "He is a player that has been recommended to us. I've done what I always do, which is watch quite a few of his games.
"He's played in the top flight at Holland for quite a few seasons and can play as a holding midfielder or as a centre-back."
Birmingham are currently 11th in the Championship.
