Chris Taylor has committed to Blackburn Rovers for another season by signing a new one-year contract with the club.
The 28-year-old has been at Ewood Park since the summer of 2013 and was a regular in Gary Bowyer's side before a groin injury ended his campaign prematurely.
Despite becoming a free agent earlier this week, Taylor has decided against looking for a new club and Bowyer was quick to reveal his delight with the new deal.
"I'm delighted that Tayls has signed up for another year," the Rovers boss told the club's website. "There was interest in him from other clubs, but he has chosen to remain with us.
"He is hugely popular amongst the other lads and his displays last season - particularly in the FA Cup - show how important he is to us."
Injuries restricted Taylor to 21 appearances in all competitions last season.
