Borussia Dortmund have announced that midfielder Ilkay Gundogan has signed a new deal with the club until 2017.
The 24-year-old Germany international had just one year remaining on his previous contract at Signal Iduna Park, leading to speculation over his future.
Gundogan has also been linked with clubs such as Manchester United and Barcelona over the past 12 months.
However, he has now decided to commit his immediate future to Dortmund.
"I'm happy that we finally have clarity and I can continue playing football for Borussia Dortmund," he is quoted as saying by Sky Sports News. "I'll turn my focus immediately to preparation – in August we want to attack fully again."
Gundogan has won three major trophies with Dortmund since 2011.
