The Football Association has charged Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho with improper conduct following his team's defeat to Aston Villa on Saturday.
The Portuguese confronted referee Chris Foy before the full-time whistle at Villa Park after Ramires had been shown a red card for a challenge on Karim El Ahmadi.
"It is alleged the Chelsea manager's behaviour in re-entering the field of play in or around the 90th minute of the fixture and approaching the match referee amounted to improper conduct," read an official FA statement.
Mourinho has until 6pm on Monday, March 24 to respond to the charge.
