Chelsea reportedly wanted a number of clauses to be met if they agreed to loan Callum Hudson-Odoi to Bayern Munich.
The Champions League winners reignited their interest in the England international last month as they bid to strengthen their squad before the end of the transfer window.
However, Chelsea boss Frank Lampard was successful in keeping the academy graduate at Stamford Bridge, insisting that the youngster's development was best served in West London.
According to Bild, the Blues demanded that Bayern field Hudson-Odoi in a set amount of matches during the 2020-21 campaign.
Chelsea officials also wanted the Bundesliga outfit to be obligated to pay £70m if the 19-year-old was provided with a certain number of appearances.
With neither party being prepared to compromise, negotiations ultimately broke down ahead of deadline day.
