Samuel Eto'o reveals Real Mallorca return wish

Samuel Eto'o says that his son has been persuading him to finish his career at former club Real Mallorca.

Samuel Eto'o has revealed that his son has pleaded with the Chelsea striker to return to former club Real Mallorca to finish his career.

The Cameroonian is out of contract in the summer having joined the Blues on a one-year deal from Anzhi Makhachkala last August and it remains to be seen where the 32-year-old will be plying his trade next term.

Eto'o, who scored a hat-trick in Chelsea's 3-1 win over Manchester United on Sunday, admits his son has been encouraging him to return to Spanish side Mallorca before he hangs up his boots.

Asked by Spanish radio station Cadena Cope which he likes out of La Liga's three leading teams Barcelona, Real Madrid or Atletico Madrid, Eto'o said: "I'll always like Barca, but I prefer Mallorca.

"My son has pressured me to finish there. My son is from Mallorca. I miss everything from there. I miss my teammates, my friends, Barcelona, the weather, the ham, everything.

"At the moment, it's one season [with Chelsea] and I intend to enjoy it, then we'll see."

Eto'o started his career with Real Madrid, but it was Mallorca where he first shone during a four-year spell from 2000 before moving to Barcelona.
