Croatia midfielder Niko Kranjcar believes that his national side are good enough to overcome Spain and Italy to progress to the knockout stages of Euro 2012.
The former Tottenham Hotspur playmaker, who recently signed for Dynamo Kiev, has set the semi-finals of the tournament as the minimum requirement.
"We are aiming high," The Express quotes Kranjcar as saying. "We are a nation that believes, even in a group with Italy and Spain, that we can go through. Not many nations would say that.
"We believe we are going to prove we are a team that can beat anybody on our day. Hopefully, then, euphoria will take us further, a step closer than four years ago, because we want to reach the semi-finals at least."
Croatia currently sit at the top of Group C following a 3-1 win over the Republic of Ireland on Sunday.
