Crystal Palace defender Damien Delaney has revealed his delight after the club booked their spot in the Premier League with a 1-0 win over Watford on Monday.
A penalty from Kevin Phillips in extra time was enough to secure the victory for Palace, with Delaney lost for words at the triumph.
"Words cannot express the feeling. Every sacrifice was for this feeling, I am so happy. I genuinely thought this day would happen. I am ecstatic," he told BBC Sport.
"We had three clean sheets in the playoffs, and that is testament to the players."
Delaney joined the club from Ipswich Town in 2012.
