Clint Dempsey has agreed a two-month loan deal to rejoin Fulham in the New Year, according to reports.
The USA international spent five years at Craven Cottage before spending last season with Tottenham Hotspur, but returned to his home country in the summer to play for MLS side the Seattle Sounders.
With the season now over, zapsportz reports that the 30-year-old is on his way back to London after being encouraged to play in Europe during the off-season by national coach Jurgen Klinsmann.
The report goes on to say that Dempsey will link up with the Cottagers, who are currently in the relegation zone, next month.
Landon Donovan and Thierry Henry have previously spent loan spells with Premier League sides to maintain their match fitness during the MLS's off-season.
