Goalkeeper Bartosz Bialkowski pens new Ipswich Town deal

Ipswich Town agree a new two-and-a-half year contract with Polish goalkeeper Bartosz Bialkowski.

Polish goalkeeper Bartosz Bialkowski has signed a new two-and-a-half year contract with Ipswich Town.

The 28-year-old was due to become a free agent this summer but has now committed himself to Ipswich until the end of the 2017-18 season, ignoring reported interest from the Chinese Super League.

"My contract was up in the summer and I had a few calls about what I was going to do but I was only interested in staying at Ipswich and I'm looking forward to the future here," Bialkowski told the club website.

"I have been pleased with my performances since I returned to the team. I have felt very confident and made some good saves but then that is my job really."

Bialkowski joined Championship side Ipswich from Notts County in summer 2014.
