England manager Fabio Capello believes that Liverpool striker Andy Carroll is responsible for his own international future.
The former Real Madrid boss thinks that the 22-year-old, who was left out of the Italian's squad to face Spain and Sweden this week, is the only one in control of his England career.
When asked if the frontman has a place in the Three Lions team, Capello is quoted by The Express as saying: "Yes, but that depends on him. Not on me. Zamora I've had around the team for a long time. I want to see him at Wembley."
Carroll has had a mismatched start to the season at Liverpool, scoring just two goals in the Premier League since August.
