Ajax manager Frank De Boer has claimed that Liverpool striker Luis Suarez is susceptible to doing "stupid things".
The former Ajax frontman has had a tumultuous season at Anfield, which has included a high-profile racism case with Manchester United defender Patrice Evra.
The 25-year-old was punished with an eight-match ban after being found guilty of racially abusing the Frenchman and caused controversy when he refused to shake hands with Evra last weekend at Old Trafford.
"Luis is a winner," said De Boer. "Outside the pitch he's a fantastic player and person. In the game he does everything to win but sometimes he does some stupid things.
"I don't really know the details of what happened in [Saturday's] game so I can't comment. But I don't think it was very smart that he didn't shake Evra's hand because it puts more attention on everything."
The Uruguayan international landed in hot water during his time in Holland when he was handed a seven-match suspension for biting PSV Eindhoven's Otman Bakkal last season.
