Steven Gerrard credits Brendan Rodgers for Liverpool form

Liverpool captain Steven Gerrard credits Brendan Rodgers with the club's revival this season.

Liverpool captain Steven Gerrard has said that the side's form this season is due to the input from Brendan Rodgers.

The Northern Irish manager led the Reds to seventh place during his first season in charge at Anfield, but Liverpool currently sit top of the Premier League with six games remaining.

"I think that [current form] is down to the manager," Gerrard told the club's official website. "Everyone is taking his ideas on board and putting that into practice.

"I'd go further back than this season - I think it's been the last 18 months. I remember us finishing last season very strongly and very consistently and I think we've taken that into this year.

"We had a very good pre-season and the form from day one, this season, has been consistent - and of late, I think we've taken it to the next level again."

Liverpool will take on West Ham United tomorrow in the day's 4pm kickoff.
