Brendan Rodgers: 'Liverpool can't get carried away'

Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers urges his players not to get carried away by their strong start to the Premier League season.

Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers has told his players that they must not get carried away by their strong start to the season.

The Reds currently sit at the top of the Premier League table thanks to three consecutive 1-0 wins.

"It's been a great start for us but we can't get carried away," Rodgers told the Liverpool Echo. "We had a difficult start to last season but since January our form has been outstanding.

"There is a long way to go this season but we're really looking forward to the challenge."

Liverpool continue their campaign on September 16 when they travel to Rodgers's former club Swansea City.
