Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers has revealed that he wants to help change the club's history.
The former Swansea City boss took over from Kenny Dalglish last month after a successful debut season in the Premier League with the Welsh club.
Now, Rodgers is looking to make a difference with the Reds, and has admitted that he has been inspired by some members of the side's past.
"This is a real footballing institution," Rodgers told talkSPORT.
"I walk in every day to the training ground here and you've got the European Cup, a little bust of Bill Shankly, and as I sit in my office I've got a great photograph of some of the great players and managers of the past. For me, I embrace that because it is very inspirational and in no way intimidating.
"I'm just looking forward to playing a part in hopefully changing the history of the club."
Rodgers also stated that striker Luis Suarez would be staying at Anfield.
