Genoa midfielder Juraj Kucka has admitted that he is pleased with reports that have linked him to Liverpool.
The 26-year-old's form in Serie A this season is thought to have alerted a number of European clubs, but Anfield-based Liverpool are believed to be one of the frontrunners for his signature.
However, despite having described the speculation as "good news", the Slovakian international has insisted that he is focused on his commitments with Genoa.
"It's good news. I have read it on the internet. I have not called my compatriot Martin Skrtel and have no plans to do so. I prefer to keep my feet on the ground," he told Dennik Sport.
"I am a Genoa player, so I have to think that I'll play in Genoa the next season, but I can imagine what it would mean to wear the Liverpool shirt."
Kucka joined Genoa in 2011 from Sparta Prague.
