Manchester City's Sergio Aguero hopes to return from injury "ASAP"

Manchester City star Sergio Aguero says that he will try to get fit and playing 'as soon as possible' after suffering a knee injury against Crystal Palace.

Manchester City striker Sergio Aguero has vowed to return to action 'as soon as possible' after suffering an ankle injury at the weekend.

The Argentine limped off the field at Selhurst Park after being tackled by Scott Dann during City's 1-0 victory over Crystal Palace on Saturday.

Today, manager Manuel Pellegrini confirmed that Aguero will play no part in Tuesday's Champions League group match against Juventus.

On Twitter, Aguero wrote: "It's shame that I won't get to play tomorrow because of Saturday's tackle. Focused on recovering ASAP. And tomorrow, let's all start the Champion's with high hopes. C'mon, City!"

City have never progressed further than the last-16 stage in the competition.
