Ashley Young: 'Manchester United must beat Wolfsburg'

Ashley Young says that Manchester United must beat Wolfsburg on Wednesday to prove that they can win the Champions League.

Ashley Young has said that Manchester United must beat Wolfsburg to prove that they can win the Champions League this season.

United started their Champions League campaign with a 2-1 loss at PSV Eindhoven, and a defeat on Wednesday evening could leave them six points off the top two in Group B.

"It's important to get a win against Wolfsburg," Young told reporters. "If you want to win the Champions League, then you have to win your home games.

"It was a disappointing start to the European campaign, especially with the possession and chances we had in Eindhoven.

"We have to start winning in the group now."

United moved to the top of the Premier League table with a 3-0 victory over Sunderland on Saturday.
