Raphael Varane will undergo a scan on his injured thigh when he returns to Manchester United on Tuesday, according to a report.

Raphael Varane will reportedly undergo a scan on his injured thigh when he returns to Manchester United's Carrington training complex on Tuesday.

The 28-year-old had to be replaced in the first half of France's UEFA Nations League final victory over Spain on Sunday after pulling up with an issue.

The extent of the muscular problem is unclear at this stage, but the centre-back was seen with strapping on his thigh when he returned to the France bench.

According to the Manchester Evening News, Varane will undergo a scan on Tuesday, with Man United looking to determine the seriousness of the damage.

There are currently no indications whether the summer arrival from Real Madrid will miss his club side's next fixture, which comes against Leicester City in the Premier League on Saturday afternoon.

Man United captain Harry Maguire has recently been absent with a calf problem but could allegedly be available for selection against the Foxes this weekend.
