The January transfer window has now closed, leaving Manchester United to begin looking forward to the summer for their next round of recruitment.
Here, Sports Mole rounds up the latest news on possible comings and goings from Old Trafford.
Monday morning's Manchester United transfer talk news roundup:
Bayern Munich announce Dayot Upamecano signing
Bayern Munich have confirmed that Dayot Upamecano will join the club from RB Leipzig in the summer transfer window.
The imposing Frenchman has been heavily linked with a move to the Premier League over the past year, with Manchester United, Liverpool and Chelsea all credited with an interest.
However, Bayern's interest in Upamecano was well-documented, and the Champions League winners have now confirmed that the centre-back will make the move to Munich on July 1.
The Bavarian giants are believed to have triggered the 22-year-old's €42.5m (£38m) release clause, and he is poised to join Bayern on a five-year contract until the summer of 2026.
Speaking to the official Bayern Munich website, Board member for sport Hasan Salihamidzic said: "We're happy that we've been able to sign Dayot Upamecano for FC Bayern München. We're convinced that Dayot will be a very important member of our team in the coming years."
The signing of Upamecano could pave the way for David Alaba to leave the club, with the Real Madrid-linked Austrian's deal set to expire in the summer.
Upamecano has made 139 appearances for Leipzig across all competitions, including 26 during the 2020-21 campaign.
Bayern Munich 'step up pursuit of Norwich City's Max Aarons'
Bayern Munich are reportedly prepared to step up their pursuit of Norwich City right-back Max Aarons.
The highly-rated youngster was widely expected to leave when Norwich suffered relegation from the Premier League last season, but he has stayed loyal to the Canaries and boasts one goal and three assists in the Championship this term.
Aarons could potentially rethink his future if Norwich make an immediate return to the Premier League, but he is said to be attracting the interest of several top European sides.
According to the Daily Mail, Bayern - who recently announced the signing of RB Leipzig's Dayot Upamecano - will look to reignite their interest in Aarons in the summer after agreeing a deal with Reading youngster Omar Richards.
However, Tottenham Hotspur and Manchester United have both been credited with an interest in the 21-year-old over the last couple of weeks, while a summer move to Barcelona last year collapsed.
The defender remains contracted to the Canaries until 2024, where he has totalled four goals and 11 assists from 114 appearances across all competitions.
