Michael Carrick has claimed that he is "enjoying" his football and is delighted to continue at Manchester United after signing a new contract at Old Trafford.
The 33-year-old, who has been part of the Premier League giants for almost 10 years, penned a one-year extension today.
"It's fantastic to know that I can continue my incredible journey with this great club," Carrick told the club's official website.
"I am thoroughly enjoying my football and the team are progressing in the right direction under Louis van Gaal. We are all incredibly focused on getting this club back to where it belongs and competing with the best teams in the world."
Carrick is expected to play a part in Sunday's Premier League showdown against arch rivals Liverpool at Anfield.
