Manchester United skipper Nemanja Vidic is understood to be on course to be fit for the start of next season.
The 30-year-old has not played since December after suffering cruciate knee ligament damage, and it was feared that he could be out of action for up to a year.
However, the Serbian has stepped up his workload in recent weeks, according to Goal.com, and is therefore expected to return to training in July.
Vidic has won four Premier League titles with United since joining in 2006.
