Manchester United are reportedly set to hold further discussions with Adrien Rabiot's agent on Monday.
The Red Devils have already agreed a fee with Juventus in the region of £15m, but there have been reports of difficulties in agreeing personal terms.
With Rabiot reportedly asking for €10m (£8.4m) per year, which would be a substantial increase on his current salary, United football director John Murtough travelled to Turin to hold talks with the player's mother Veronique Rabiot, who represents the 27-year-old.
According to the Daily Mail, after initial discussions on Friday, further talks are expected to be held at the start of the week.
The Juventus midfielder is looking for a pay increase to compensate him for giving up the opportunity to play Champions League in the 2021-22 season.
If United are unable to agree personal terms then Rabiot could consider staying at Juventus for the final year of his contract.
