Roma 'lining up Alexis Sanchez loan move'

Roma want to sign Manchester United attacker Alexis Sanchez on loan for the 2020-21 campaign, according to a report.

Roma are reportedly keen to sign Manchester United attacker Alexis Sanchez on loan.

The 31-year-old has spent the 2019-20 campaign on loan with Inter Milan but has struggled to make his mark for Antonio Conte's side, scoring just once in 15 appearances.

As it stands, the Chile international will return to Old Trafford this summer, although it is thought that the Red Devils will attempt to move the attacker on once again ahead of next season.

According to Sky Sport Italia, Roma are keen on a move for the South American and are expected to launch an offer when this summer's transfer window opens for business.

Sanchez scored 80 times in 166 appearances for Arsenal ahead of a move to United, but he has struggled for form during his time at Old Trafford, netting just five times in 45 outings in all competitions.

The forward's current deal with the 20-time English champions is due to expire in June 2022.
