Louis van Gaal patient on new signings

Manchester United manager Louis van Gaal is prepared to give his current players a chance to shine before he raids into the transfer market again this summer.

Manchester United manager Louis van Gaal has revealed that he is willing to give his squad a chance to impress him before he decides to raid into the transfer market again.

United have signed Ander Herrera and Luke Shaw this summer to add to their squad that finished seventh in the Premier League last season.

Despite rumours linking the club to several players, including Juventus's Arturo Vidal, Van Gaal has insisted that he wants to give his current squad an opportunity to shine.

He told reporters: "I've said I want to see the players I have, give them an honest chance. We still have a month to go."

United face Real Madrid in their next pre-season clash later today.
