Mansfield Town's League Two clash against Bury called off

Tonight's League Two match between Mansfield Town and Bury at the One Call Stadium is postponed due to a waterlogged pitch.

This evening's League Two clash between Mansfield Town and Bury has been called off due to a waterlogged pitch at the One Call Stadium.

The match will be played at a later date after a pitch inspection at 11am this morning deemed the surface unplayable due to heavy rain overnight.

Groundsman Michael Merriman told Mansfield's official website: "Due to the torrential rain we had on Saturday, the pitch is absolutely wet through.

"The continued rain both overnight and this morning, along with the forecast that is predicting further heavy rain for the rest of the day, means that there was no chance this game could take place due to there being so much standing water."

A new date is yet to be confirmed.
