Middlesbrough have signed former Manchester United defender Fabio da Silva from Cardiff City for an undisclosed fee.
The 26-year-old moves to the newly-promoted Premier League outfit on a two-year deal that will keep him at the Riverside Stadium until 2018.
The Brazilian has previous experience of top-flight football from his time with Manchester United and Queens Park Rangers in addition to Cardiff.
Boro reportedly triggered Fabio's release clause before entering personal terms with the full-back, who becomes Aitor Karanka's seventh signing of the summer.
Fabio made 68 appearances for the Bluebirds, scoring one goal.
