Newcastle United striker Demba Ba has backed Senegal teammate Papiss Cisse to settle in at the Sports Direct Arena after a 2-1 win over Aston Villa.
Cisse, who signed for the Magpies last month, sealed the win for Alan Pardew's side on his debut with a powerful finish 20 minutes from time.
"It was a big day for him and I am very happy for him," Ba, who opened the scoring, told Sky Sports News.
"When you come to a new team it is very hard sometimes to settle in. I think he is a good lad, so he will settle in okay."
The win has lifted Newcastle up to fifth in the Premier League table.
