Newcastle United midfielder Yohan Cabaye is not close to joining Ligue 1 champions Paris Saint-Germain, according to reports.
The Frenchman has been linked with a move to the Parisians, with manager Laurent Blanc admitting recently that the 27-year-old should join a big club before the end of the transfer window.
However, a source close to the player has denied that Cabaye is on the brink of a return to his homeland with the capital club, according to ESPN.
Arsenal are also thought to be keen on recruiting the Magpies man and saw a £12m bid for him rejected on Monday.
Newcastle are apparently demanding £20m for Cabaye, whom they signed for £3m from Lille in 2011.
