PSG boss Carlo Ancelotti says that he wants to progress in the Champions League by winning Group A.

Paris Saint-Germain boss Carlo Ancelotti has targeted a first-place finish in Group A of the Champions League.

Ancelotti also spoke of his excitement ahead of PSG's first Champions League appearance for three years.

The big-spending French side were drawn alongside Porto, Dynamo Kiev and Dinamo Zagreb in this evening's draw.

"The draw is past, we must now play the matches," said Ancelotti. "We will do our best to progress to the knock-out stages.

"This is a new experience for the club. Teams like Kiev, Porto and Zagreb have international experience.

"Champions League matches are special, there's motivation and commitment. I hope that we can progress to the knock-out stages by finishing top of this group."

PSG have not started their league campaign as they may have wanted, with three draws from three games.

Their first Champions League game is at home to Dynamo Kiev on September 18.
