Former AC Milan and Italy defender Paolo Maldini is reportedly on a shortlist of potential replacements for Leonardo as technical director at Paris Saint-Germain.
Maldini has been out of football since retiring in 2009, but was a guest of Paris-Saint Germain at Wednesday's Champions League clash with Benfica.
The 45-year-old has held preliminary talks with PSG's Qatari owners and is now considering the possibility of taking up a senior position with the Ligue 1 giants, according to Corriere della Sera.
PSG have been actively seeking a new sporting director since Leonardo offered his resignation in July, with the Brazilian expected to step down once a suitable replacement has been found.
During a 24-year playing career, Maldini captained both club and country, playing more than 900 times for Milan alongside 126 international caps.
