Marco Verratti has officially committed his future to Paris Saint-Germain by extending his contract until 2020.
The 23-year-old, who joined the French giants in 2012 from Pescara, was previously linked with a move to Premier League champions Chelsea, while Barcelona were also touted as possible suitors.
However, the Italian midfielder has opted to stay with PSG, who currently have a 24-point lead at the top of the Ligue 1 table.
"I am very happy to extend my contract with Paris Saint-Germain," Verratti told the club's official website. "I would like to thank the club for the confidence they have placed in me since I joined the club.
"I love the city of Paris and I love Paris Saint-Germain. I will continue to give my all, along with my teammates, to bring joy and success to our supporters and make our team the best in Europe."
Verratti's previous contract was scheduled to run until 2019.
